Comment gem
Ceterum censeo, filemaker sucks ;-)
Oh and one benefit that my commentspam spring cleaning brought was digging up this little gem that has been hiding away unbeknownst to me in this lil’ blog o’ mine: a 17 entry strong debate on Why filemaker sucks spanning nearly two years held by random people who have stumbled across this entry by searching (out of frustration, presumably) for "filemaker sucks" on Google - where said entry still hasn't been knocked from first place ;-)

Desaster
Pun intended?
One has to wonder, if that title was worded like this intentionally... The U.S. media is not exactly Bush-friendly these days...

Have you seen Office Space yet? If not, run - don't walk - to your nearest video rental, get it and watch it!. That's an order!
Done? "Great!" Now you can fully appreciate the Bill Lumbergh Soundboard ;-)
P.S. I wonder, if this will get a foothold in podcasting as 'jingle-fodder'...

Structure!
"Structure in our lives is important, and addictions can be an easy, effective and efficient way of adding some." drunkenbatman
For a website that - according to its colophon - is "Powered by FreeBSD, Zope, Plone, Macintosh and Beer" it shouldn't come as a surprise that its author endorses somebody going by the monicker of drunkenbatman. The quote above is from his most recent entry and I'll have to bring it up, when I'll be meeting Carsten and Jörg at the 23 lateron ;-)

"Don't mention the war!"
"And now, for something completely different..."
This one is simply too good to pass up - even if it’s only for the German speaking readers of this blog…
At any rate, if you are and appreciate Walter Moers you simply got to check this out.

Update: Somebody just brought up the issue of piracy here. It certainly wasn’t my intention to cause any harm to Walter Moers - on the contrary! I simply assumed that if Ralf Zeigermann (“The Cartoonist”) and Johannes Nendwich published it under their real name on their ‘official’ websites, so could I.
Now, we all know, that assumptions (especially unreflected ones) can be the mother of all f**kups. Still, I’m not quite sure what do to here. a) Simply assume the worst, namely that it is pirated and remove the link? b) wait until somebody points out, that it in fact is pirated and then remove the link.
What do you think?
