Whoha, seems I'm not the only one who needs a vacation from the heat. Today - apparently - some device concerned with delivering power to the servers at my ISP hosteurope decided to take a rather lengthy nap.

All four machines were unreachable starting round 4 p.m., including the one hosting this blog and all the IMAP accounts. After ca. 90 minutes the first two were back online - with an uptime of just a couple of minutes... This machine however took until just now to get back to work...

Well, the good part was, that all services started up just fine on their own, without any intervention. And since everybody seems to be doing anything but working I only got a phone call from one single client (out of several dozen). Perhaps nobody noticed...?
