Crimped
From the Show-and-Tell-Department
Oh boy... yesterday, I have crimped about 50 RJ45-plugs and today my poor fingertips are sooo sore...
I'm blogging directly from TTI Van Guard's current conference Harnessing Innovation where I'm responsible for the local ethernet. We've set up an adhoc ethernet based network with 32 switches, 19 tables and 112 participants and for the connections between the tables we needed custom length cables - and I ended up crimping the lot of them... towards the end, my dud-rate began to climb rather steeply - as you can see ;-)
Now, I'm officially on stand-by. Meaning, I'm not getting paid any more - but I'm able to listen to the conference. Currently, Hermman Hauser, the founder of Acorn is speaking and John Perry Barlow is visible in my iChat Rendezvous window ;-)
Update: Oh, and the food is a hell of a lot better than at 20C3 ;-)
