What is this?
Hi, my name is Tom Lazar and I'm a Plone and Zope developer based in Berlin, Germany and this is my personal and professional (no big difference, really...) website.

Back to work

"The only place where success comes before work is in a dictionary." -- Vidal Sassoon

Okay, the holidays are finally over. Unfortunately, at this time I feel like needing a holiday more than ever! Family business is beginning to return to normal routine (if possible) and now would be a wonderful time to go on a little holiday with the whole family (preferably somewhere warm!) and recharge those depleted batteries! Also, seeing a bar from the inside would be nice for a change ;-)

The new-born-baby situation along with needing to finish a webproject for a client pretty much screwed my entire rhythm. Often I had been working till five or six in the morning and sleeping till noon or later (Thanks Mascha for letting me!)

During the last few days I've been trying to get back to 'norma', but it's not quite working: day before yesterday I went to bed at 10 p.m. and got up at 4 a.m., made some really strong coffee and went down into the office to work. What a nice way to start the day! Then this morning at ten, we took the kids outside and spent a brilliant, sunny sommer morning! However, after lunch I made a big mistake: I took a nap. It lasted till midnight! Now it's 5:45 a.m. I've been working for five hours straigt at the new website (nearly done!)... but guess what? I feel tired...

I must admit, that the outlook of going back to work later today for the next weeks and months isn't really uplifting, to say the least...

Oh, well, I've ordered my new powerbook, that's something for a geek to look forward to!

Dear Daddy Tom,

I'd appreciate finally taking the promised beer with you, pal. Thanks for helping out our economy with consumption of diapers and production of future tax payers, by the way.

Perhaps tomorrow?
