This is cool! Not only is COREBlog1.0 out, I now also figured out, how to use Categories from within ecto: I simply had to select the MoveableType-API instead of the MetaWeblog, that's it!

Now I don't know if that has just been added in the 1.0 or has been sitting around there all along and I simply failed to notice, but I must say, this is really sweet - I'm a happy blogger now ;-)

While I was at it, I finally implemented email notifications for Comments and Trackbacks, too. (Btw. could somebody please trackback ping this entry, so I can verify that the script works? Thanks!)

Now all I need for the perfect blogging experience is for COREBlog to support the ecto attachments (meaning I can add images to entries from ecto instead of uploading them first and then referencing them from the entry manually) and for (either ecto and/or COREBlog) to support subtitles, so I can continue to add my witty little comments to each entry here ;-)

Anyway, kudos to to ats and Adriaan! Keep up the good work!

Update: too bad, that trackback pings from this blog to others don't seem to work via ecto... I'll investigate ;)

Second Update: The Email Comment Notification feature is also neat for getting rid of comment spam as soon as possible...
