FuxDataBlog
From the Show-and-Tell-Department
Haven't really mentioned it yet here, but three months ago I've teamed up with my main Hard- and Softwaredealer FuxData. I've relocated my office to their premises and assumed my double role as assistant manager/apprentice.
So while on some days I'm serving customers in the shop and slowly coming to terms with our stock system on other days I continue to expand my current hosting ambitions under the roof of FuxData or take care of customers on-site. It's not a full-time job, as I've still got my current customers who I continue to serve, but the long term-goal is to merge our customer-base. In the end it really is proving to be a win-win situation and I'm very much looking forward to continueing the cooperation.
One side-effect, is that as of now, FuxData has finally got a website. Regular readers of this blog will have no trouble guessing, what it's been done with and shouldn't be all too surprised to learn, that we've also got a blog ;-)
Of, course the site is still under construction, but we've decided to go public rather sooner than later. I'm rather pleased with the result and it being my umpteenth plone-site, it literally took me only two days to set up from scratch. For the plonistas out there: it's running on Plone 2.0.3, Zope 2.7.2, CMF 1.4.7 and SimpleBlog 1.2.1.
Of course, now I'll have to update two blogs but the idea with the FuxBlog is, that everybody of the team chimes in and posts stuff. So while we also will post product announcements we'll also focus on things that will be useful to non-customers.
So, if you happen to speak German ;-) hop on over and take a look or subscribe to the feed!
