Heis0rd!
From the OMG-Department
Whoha! My first Heise-DoS! Just as one can get slashdotted, here in Germany, you can be the 'victim' of too many visits to your site, if you're mentioned in the Heise Newsticker...
In our new issue of the Datenschleuder (which arrived at the first mailboxes today) we expose a really nasty security flaw at T-Com, a subsidary of (probably) Germany's largest Provider, T-Online.
Luckily, it didn't happen to the machine hosting this blog! I've moved the improptu Datenschleuder Plone instance to a machine of the CCC just in time...
Plone is not exactly famous for its performance, but to its defence I must say, that it really didn't matter: once Cryx and I set up a cache for it, the requests stopped eating up the CPU, alright, but now they were eating up the bandwith!
Meanwhile, things seem to have settled down a bit. If you want to, take a peek, go ahead ;-) At the moment, we've only published the lead article, but in a week, we're going to unlock the rest of the articles, as well.
Update: tagesschau.de have bumped the news about the T-Com desaster to the front page... Let's see what that will do...
