Just got home after our first Datenschleuder editorial meeting this year (incidentally also the first editorial meeting since the Camp... we're a little bit behind... *cough*)

(Interlude: in the middle of our meeting was an electrical outage in the entire block which pretty much put an abrupt end to said meeting. Erdgeist and I then decided to have a couple of beers in a nearby bar, which, due to unmentionable events shall remain unnamed in this blog. Note: the beers did not have any beneficial effect on the following events, whatsoever...)

Checking my mail I noticed, that Zope 2.7b4 had been released during my offline time. Triggerhappy as I am, I immediately decided to update this site and the corresponding installation instructions...

After over thirty minutes of trying to install 2.7b4 in which I only managed to achieve startup-failures (and during which this site was down) I then spent another ten to get the backup back online. Whew! Backup worked!

Then I repeated the whole process again, including the bit where the site failed to start up...

Oh, well, I squeezed a blog-entry out of the whole thing, either way ;-) I'll get back to it on my test site tomorrow... Good night!
